Echo Echo Echo

As part of fig–2, Deborah Coughlin, Michael Shaw and a 22-piece all-girl choir Gaggle present Echo, Echo, Echo. Echo, Echo, Echo is an experimental, multi–layered piece of recorded improvisation made from the voices of Gaggle women past and present, live instruments and a recording of the opening night of Yap! Yap! Yap!. The piece was recorded and edited live by Shaw on a rudimentary 8 Track recording system made from 8 1980's Dictaphone cassette recorders and looped cassette tapes. The final recording was then left playing in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
